tricot // The Fader Premieres Music Video for 'Melon Soda'
The Fader calls tricot's music video for their new single, Melon Soda, "completely hypnotizing." Agreed.
About the hypnotizing concept, the band says, "'Even if you go backwards, time does not unwind so you can only move forward. It has popped and disappeared like sweet melon soda.'"
"The clip unfolds in reverse, but lead vocalist Ikkyu Nakajimaand's singing is still perfectly synced. It's pretty, and also kind of a mindfuck." - The Fader
The song is from tricot's upcoming album, 3, which we'll be releasing in just one week from today on Wednesday, May 17. Until then, pre-orders are available on our website if you want to reserve your copy!
