"Low Light Assembly" by The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die
This video took forever to come together. It's the culmination of a few ideas the band and us had bounced back and forth along with input from our friend Alex Henery (who directed and produced it). It felt like it took all summer to come together — but when it did the results were exactly what we wanted.

As far as a larger narrative or background on it goes, we tried shooting this three times prior at various quarries and (apparently?) reservoirs around southern and eastern New England and kept getting stopped by fake cops. We decided to try our luck with this spot early in the morning and ended up with some pretty great results. The lake's actually on the top of a mountain so it was a good hike out to it. When we got there, we were the only people there with perfect conditions.
We originally had planned to use more footage from jumping into the water, hiking, insects and nature-y kinda stuff but when we started dumping the footage to the timeline everything we were getting from underwater just fit so well (so well) and we knew almost right away that we needed to scrap everything else and make it the focus.
Although I'm sure it will become a fall one for many of us, this album came to define our summer. For me, at least, this video is sort of a last grasp at that. It feels warm, nostalgic and familiar — we're really happy with how it came out and hope you guys enjoy it!
Thanks for watching, everyone — please share it with your friends!
