Pianos Become The Teeth will be entering Developing Nations Studio on August 1st to record their follow up record to Old Pride with engineer Kevin Bernsten. The band is currently in the pre production stages and are planning for a fall 2011 release. We released Pianos Become The Teeth’s critically acclaimed Old Pride in 2010 and re-released the band’s split EP with The Saddest Landscape earlier this year.
The band has described the new album as:
“a progression from Old Pride, it’s a personal album for all of us in many different ways”, [The band went on to decribe the lyrics as], “emotional, reminiscent, cohesive, sad, bitter, and heavy hearted.”
Having toured the US twice, gone to Europe, and appearances at Fest 9 and Krazy Fest in support of Old Pride, Pianos has promised more touring including another European, Full US, and an appearance at Fest 10 in support of the new album.
What people have said about Old Pride:
“Their screamo peers — past or present — should be more than envious.”
-Alternative Press (4/5)
“The kind of band that allow you to feel young, nervous and excited about music again. Powerful, majestic, important and truly fantastic from start to finish.”
-Rock Sound (9/10)
“...fucking amazing.”
-Indie Rock Reviews (9.2/10)
I’m listening to the preproduction mixed instrumentals right now... 0_o. More info soon!
