Welcome A Great Big Pile of Leaves to the family!
We’re extremely proud to announce that we will be releasing two EPs for Brooklyn, NY based indie rock outfit A Great Big Pile of Leaves later this year. We’ve worked together with the band to compile a Live EP along with a new Studio EP with both releases featuring new and re-recorded songs.
Ever hear something for the first time and immediately go, “Whoa, where the hell do I hear more?!”. This is that. Or is for us, anyway. A Great Big Pile of Leaves’ debut LP Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex? is a whimsical, super-catchy, upbeat, foot-stomping, hand-clapping, sing-along good time with not an ounce of filler. Released last year through upstart label Sinking Ship Records, it immediately caught our ears and we hope know you guys will feel the same. If you’re a fan of bands like The Format, Limbeck, Piebald, Hellogoodbye or Look Mexico, then A Great Big Pile of Leaves are right up your alley.
The band is currently in the middle of a west coast tour with Happy Body Slow Brain. Since the trio released Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex? in June 2010 they’ve been busy supporting the likes of Hellogoodbye, Fake Problems, Appleseed Cast, Motion City Soundtrack, Say Anything, and Saves The Day.
Praise for Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex?:
“One of the most enthralling, captivating releases of 2010”
More details on the releases coming soon! For now, you can check out the band on tumblr, Facebook, Twitter and bandcamp.
