The delightful and charming Gregory Uhlmann is back today with a dreamy music video for his song "Coupon", off of his new album Neighborhood Watch that came out over the summer.

If you're just hearing about Gregory Uhlmann for the first time - boy, are you in for a treat. Gregory is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and member of several bands including Perfume Genius, Fell Runner and the genre-bending improvising trio Typical Sisters. Raised in Chicago and now based in LA, he's been praised for his lush, beautiful melodies and thoughtful and introspective songcraft. It's hard to define exactly what his sound is, but it's somewhere between orchestral pop, psychedelic folk and indie-rock. If you're a fan of Van Dyke Parks, the Zombies, Cate le Bon, or Bill Callahan, we highly recommend you give Neighborhood Watch a listen.

"Coupon" is a poetic travelogue of sorts, about a family sojourn to New York. With quirky lyricism and a catchy rhythm that'll have you bopping along before you know it, the track highlights Gregory's uniquely gentle and soft, yet direct and affecting voice. The video is a beautiful journey encapsulated in a colorful stop-motion style. It depicts a psychedelic passage through various dreamlike settings, set to the fuzzy, slow-churning grooves of Gregory's irresistible indie pop songcraft.
