Enemies Embark, Embrace
Info:
Irish four-piece Enemies released their debut album We’ve Been Talking in 2010 and quickly jolted to the forefront of instrumental math-rock, establishing themselves as a crucial touchstone in a then nascent canon. Three years later, the quartet followed up their debut with Embark, Embrace, building on their penchant for call-and-response structures and dueling staccato guitars that seem to entangle one another endlessly. Known primarily as riffing instrumentalists up to that point, Embark, Embrace saw the band experiment with guest features and atmospheric vocals for the first time, further expanding their palette beyond the typical math-rock formula of guitar-guitar-bass-drums, cementing their place in the genre’s pantheon.Pressing Info:
