Pianos Become the Teeth The Lack Long After

Info:

The Lack Long After is the sophomore album from Baltimore, Maryland’s Pianos Become the Teeth. Although as atmospheric, relentless, and enrapturing as its predecessor Old Pride, The Lack Long After represents an evolution from the band’s debut. Pianos are more legible, more expansive, and heavier on their second album. Songs barrel through seemingly endless reconfigurations of intense composition: flurries of breakdowns, melodic build-ups, and angular blasts might leave you unsure of what’s to come, but there’s a coherence in the sustained ferocity and clever musicianship. Although originally released in 2011, The Lack Long After remains a beacon of the screamo revival and the renaissance invigorated by its release.
