At the end of 2023, Elephant Gym embarked on a year-long world tour, performing 60 shows across 23 countries. The tour featured sold-out performances in cities such as New York, Tokyo, Paris, and Santiago, Chile. The enthusiastic response from fans around the globe and the diverse audience reactions to the performances left a lasting impression on the band.

Elephant Gym has curated a selection of live recordings culled from select performances across four continents during this tour. Through these recordings, the band hopes to share with listeners the unique atmosphere of each respective city’s live performance. These continent-specific live recordings will be released as a series of EPs throughout 2025, culminating in a complete live album.

The fourth wave of releases, "Live in Taiwan," features tracks that include one from their dedicated show in their hometown of Kaohsiung, and two others from their largest-ever headlining concert since forming, held at Zepp New Taipei at the tail end of the 2024 world tour.

One of these three songs is "Go through the Night" (穿過夜晚). This track respectfully samples the classic acoustic guitar phrase from the famous song "two moons" by Elephant Gym's inspirational band, toe, developing it into a completely distinct instrumental rock piece featuring piano. The other two tracks from their biggest-ever headlining show are collaborations with Japanese musicians: "D", performed with Seiji Kameda (bassist for Tokyo Incidents), and “Shell" (順從的殼), which features a surprising and wildly energetic saxophone performance by Ryo Konishi, one of Japan's most active contemporary saxophonists. These two musicians, who have contributed immense talent to the Japanese music scene, not only add an exciting new flavor to these two works but also serve as precious highlights for the 2025 live recording album.
